By using rcrypt, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using rcrypt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
rcrypt provides encrypted file sharing with the following features:
- Client-side AES-256-GCM encryption
- Temporary file storage (1-24 hours based on your selection)
- Zero-knowledge architecture
- No user accounts required
3. Acceptable Use
You MAY use rcrypt to:
- Share files securely with intended recipients
- Protect sensitive documents
- Transfer confidential information
You MAY NOT use rcrypt to:
- Store or share illegal content including but not limited to: child exploitation material, terrorist content, or content that violates criminal law
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code that could damage systems or steal data
- Share copyrighted material without proper authorization or license
- Harass, threaten, or harm others through intimidation, doxxing, or abuse
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction or ours
- Abuse or overload the Service through automated scripts, bots, or excessive requests
- Attempt to bypass security measures or reverse engineer the Service
- Use the Service for phishing, fraud, or scams
4. File Limitations
- Maximum file size: 500MB per file
- Storage duration: 1, 6, or 24 hours (based on your selection)
- Deletion: Files are deleted after the selected expiration time, or after first download if one-time download is enabled
- No recovery: Deleted files cannot be recovered
5. Zero-Knowledge Disclaimer
You acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for your passwords
- We cannot recover lost passwords
- We cannot decrypt your files
- We cannot verify file contents
6. No Warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Data accuracy or reliability
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, rcrypt shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data or files
- Unauthorized access to your files
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
8. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Choosing strong passwords
- Sharing passwords securely
- Ensuring you have rights to share files
- Complying with applicable laws
- Backing up important files
- Verifying recipient identity before sharing
9. Content Monitoring & Abuse Reporting
Due to zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot monitor file contents. However:
- We may monitor metadata (file size, upload frequency, access patterns)
- We may suspend service for suspected abuse
- We will investigate abuse reports
- We may delete files associated with abuse reports
- We will report illegal activity to authorities
- We cooperate with law enforcement when legally required
Report Abuse:
If you believe someone is using rcrypt for illegal or abusive purposes, please report it to:

- Include: Download link, description of violation, and any evidence
We take all reports seriously and will investigate within 24-48 hours. While we cannot view encrypted file contents, we can delete files and block access based on credible reports.
10. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
- Change file size limits, storage duration, or expiration options
- Update these Terms of Service
- Refuse service to anyone
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Abusive behavior
- Illegal activity
- Any reason at our discretion
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless rcrypt from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws
- Content you upload or share
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and rcrypt regarding the Service.
